Abstract
Objective: To assess the future trends of artificial intelligence (AI) applications in oral radiological diagnosis.
Methodology: This cross-sectional study employed a convenience sampling technique to recruit participants, including general dental practitioners, postgraduate researchers, and consultants from various dental institutes across Lahore. A questionnaire was used to assess the participants’ awareness, attitudes, and perceptions regarding AI and its potential applications in radiological diagnosis. Data collection was conducted from May 20th to November 28th, 2024.
Results: Approximately 61% of dental practitioners agreed that the primary function of AI tools is to interpret complex radiographs, while 28% believed that AI would be valuable for diagnostic purposes.
Conclusion: AI is viewed with cautious optimism among dental professionals in Pakistan; several barriers hinder its full integration into clinical practice.

Key words: Artificial Intelligence (AI), radiology, dentistry, awareness, diagnostic tools.
