Abstract
Objective: To determine the prevalence of coccydynia among bankers and to assess its impact on their quality of life
Methodology: This cross-section study included 165 bankers selected by non- probability convenient sampling technique. The inclusion criteria included bankers who had pain at the tip of coccyx, with prolonged sitting at least 8 hours. Those bankers who had coccyx pain due to trauma/injury and with a history of pregnancy/vaginal delivery were excluded. Data were obtained through questionnaire, Numeric Pain Scale and WHO Quality of Life Scale-Brief.
Results: Out of 165 bankers, coccydynia was found in 42 (25.45%). There was statistically significant difference between no pain and tail bone pain in physical health domain (p<0.006) and between upper back pain and tail bone pain in psychological health domain (p<0.011) of quality of life. Social and environmental domains were not found statistically significant.
Conclusion: Coccydynia was common among bankers. The quality of life of bankers was affected in terms of physical and psychological health domains.

Key words: Coccydynia, quality of life, prolong sitting, coccygectomy.
