Side effects of Covid-19 vaccinations and association with age and gender among Adults vaccinated in Mosul City, Iraq

Abstract
Objectives: To identify the demographic characteristics and determine the link between vaccine effects and variables of age and gender among those who have been immunized.
Methodology: This cross-sectional study included 660 residents of Mosul who had received Covid-19 vaccinations. This research was carried out from 24th April 2022, until 10th May 2022. SPSS version 26 was used for data analysis.
Results: Majority of participants (71.7%) were female, and half of them were not infected previously with Covid. In this study, 57.1% participants had two doses, most of them with Pfizer vaccine (90.3%). Chills and shiver, dizziness, swelling at the injection site, heat and bruise at the injection were noted, mostly in females.
Conclusion: The study concluded the majority of participants completed two doses of vaccine. Side effects were minor and tolerable.
