Corticosteroids and severe COVID 19 patients, is there any hope?

Abstract
In December 2019, COVID 19 started in China. These patients mainly die of acute respiratory distress syndrome and multiple organ dysfunction, which are related to an imbalanced state called cytokine storm. Corticosteroids are used among COVID 19 patients due to their anti-inflammatory effect but many details about their role in this condition are still unclear like the most suitable corticosteroids drug and a specific time interval to initiate this treatment. Budesonide is one of the most common corticosteroids which are used in many aspects. Here, we present a general overview about the predictable hope from using budesonide among COVID 19 patients, especially those with cytokine storm.
