Spontaneous atraumatic rupture of urinary bladder ? ethanol abuse

Abstract
I am reporting a case of spontaneous intraperitoneal rupture of urinary bladder in an inpatient admitted for ethanol abuse, presenting as diffuse generalized peritonitis. Preoperative diagnosis was difficult. CT abdomen and pelvis was misleading, and the final diagnosis was reached on exploration of the abdomen. Perioperative and postoperative recovery was uneventful.
