Cerebral Infarction after Wasp Stings

Nashat Ayoub Halasah.

Abstract
Wasp stings have been associated with wide variety of reactions from mild local reaction like wheal formation to fatal systemic reactions. Life threatening complications following a single wasp sting are relatively rare and unexpected.
Here I present a rare complication secondary to wasp sting. A 75 years old female patient brought to emergency room with history of wasp sting complicated by right side stroke due to middle cerebral artery infarction confirmed by Brain CT scan, with no history of any medical illness before.
