Musculoskeletal problems in patients visiting physical therapy department of DHQ Hospital Sargodha, Pakistan

Abstract
Objective: To identify prevalence of musculoskeletal conditions at different sites in body of the patients visiting department of physical therapy of District Headquarter (DHQ), Hospital, Sargodha and to correlate with factors of age, gender and duration of symptoms.
Methodology: This observational survey was conducted on patients visiting physical therapy department of DHQ Hospital. The patients of all age groups having musculoskeletal conditions were included. The time span of this study was one month that was December 1, to December 30, 2017.
Result: Total of 116 patients visited during study period. Out of these 57.4% suffered from musculoskeletal conditions. Sixty-one (52.59%) were female. Frozen shoulder (31.03%) was the commonest condition, followed by back (27.5%) and neck pain (12%).
Conclusion: Musculoskeletal disorders are common in our community. Frozen shoulder was the most common condition followed by back and neck pain. More females were affected.
